Open for treatments Monday – Saturday 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Seasonal hours may vary. Retail lobby is open Monday – Saturday 9 – 5 pm. Closed on Sundays. Our boutique spa may be closed without notice for private gatherings.
Guests
We welcome The Stanford Inn at Wilderness Road guests as well as external guests for spa services.
Scheduling
We recommend booking in advance online or you may contact our Guest Services Team at 606-257-4171, Monday – Saturday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM to receive assistance with customizing your spa treatment and experience.
To ensure a seamless experience, we kindly require a credit card to hold your reservation, in accordance with our cancellation policy. At the conclusion of your treatment, you’re invited to use the payment method of choice —credit card, gift card, cash, or check
Location & Parking
Esther’s Wellhouse is located at 102 Depot Street, Stanford, KY 40484, near the corner of Main Street and Depot Street. The entrance is marked by a sign above the door. Esther’s is located near Bluebird restaurant on the Depot Street side.
For guests staying on property, the spa is a short walk from The Stanford Inn and guest houses.
Parking is available on Main Street or in the public parking area off Depot Street.
Check-In & Arrival
Due to the boutique nature of our spa, we encourage you to arrive at Esther’s Wellhouse five to ten minutes prior to your appointment time. This allows us time to welcome you and gives you ample time to check-in and rest in our lobby prior to your service.
Quiet Environment
Esther’s Wellhouse’s environment is one of rest and relaxation. We respectfully ask that you leave cellular phones and devices in silence mode so that the tranquility of the spa may be preserved for all guests.
Late Arrival
Please be aware that your late arrival may determine the length of your treatment. Your treatment will end on time to prevent inconvenience to the next guest. The full treatment price will apply.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
To ensure we offer our guests the best availability and accommodate as many requests as possible, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice for any appointment changes or cancellations. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will incur a charge of 50% of the total service cost. In the event of a no-show, the full appointment amount will be charged. Same-day reschedules are subject to our cancellation policy as well.
A 72-hour advance notice is required for multiple treatments lasting more than two hours or a full service charge fee will apply. Please contact our Guest Services team for more details.
Special Health Considerations
At the time of reservation, please notify our Guest Services team if you have high blood pressure, allergies, any physical ailments, pregnancy, injuries or special needs that could affect your service when making your spa reservation. (Note: massages for expecting mothers are given after the first trimester.) This information will also be completed on your personal intake that you may fill out in advance or upon arrival to your spa appointment.
Age
The minimum age for access to spa treatments and spa is eighteen years old.
Additionally, we ask that you kindly respect preserving the tranquil space of our boutique spa for all of our guests and refrain from bringing in newborns or children.

Wellhouse Attire
Robes and slippers are provided for guests enjoying multiple treatments. We ask that you kindly dress in your comfort for your treatment. Undergarments are not necessary but may be worn during the treatment, if you prefer. All staff are professionally trained and licensed to ensure the highest quality of service and integrity. Proper draping techniques are always used to protect your privacy and comfort at all times.
Sauna
We offer an infrared sauna which may be added onto any treatment for an additional charge. Robes and/or a bandeau will be provided and must be worn while enjoying the sauna.
Pricing & Gratuities
All massage services and retail products are subject to sales tax. We kindly thank you in advance for your generous gratuities for our service providers. Treatments and pricing rates are subject to change without notice.
Spa Products
To continue your spa regimen at home, most Spa products used in the treatments and services are available for purchase. We offer Eminence and Aveda products for retail as well as our very own Plainview Farms product lines which may be purchased at Kentucky Soaps and Such.
Loss or Damage
We regret that we cannot be responsible for any loss or damage of personal articles. However, in the event that we find any personal articles left behind, we will take every measure to return them to you.
